F as on decs and during extended spell of 25DegC+ sunny weather. GStick 06:00am. Stalls Centre. 25DegC. Light Westerly Wind = Headwind HS, 3/4 Headwind from Left Uphill. Looked a split Nurs race with top two both competitive off ORs and proven and other 4 smaller and unproven. Race reflected that with Zalzilah a cmf wnr. Has two pieces of form on uphill tracks on Frimer going which make OR77 look fine, esp his BVLY win & repeat of somethinh like that enough here. Sunset Shore ran poorly LTO & looked an Attitude and/or feeling something. Running head up LTO & jk getting very busy with whip. That view seemed vindicated here with jk Catlin only at BATH for one ride and pushing & driving SShore as soon as the gates opened. Got her to lead on rail after a good break but jockey having to work like she was a tired 3 mile chaser throughout the race. Got cut-off on rail by Zalzilah+1.5f & then Narborough & dropped 4th & SUnbal & SwcR & chased along Cent by Hf. Picked up enough to haul herself past others having been switched out wide but another "thinking" effort & SShore capable of better. Just an ordinary time given conditions |
