With the rain not arriving a lot of very fast times on day. Galician won the 7f handicap in a Course record time belting down the Stands' Rail from a finisher on the far side. The round course supposed to be slower going on day but the FIRST 4 home in the King George (behind a clear winner) beat the old Course Record held by Harbinger. A tailwind added to the fact that, again this year, the Clerk of the Course presumably felt unable to water with heavy rain forecast & ended up with ground faster than he would have ever normally allowed.
