This from the MPR website wrt LGGan = " As with Bonnie Lesley we were very taken by her breeze, which was very professional, gun barrel straight and in a very fast time. This filly should excel over sprint trips of 5 or 6 furlongs, but like Bonnie Lesley might want stepping up in trip by the end of the season. The Dam Story has produced one winner from one runner, who won twice as a 2yo. There is no reason not to expect the dam to improve her record to 2 from 2 with this filly who should be running by Mid June. Her action suggests she will benefit from Good or quicker ground."

The breeze vid shows her going stright down a rail but small, upright action lacking range & hard to believe the time was "very fast". Rtnd for 10k so presume some private deal to buy her? Runs 6 weeks later than advertised and starts out on SHV despite the quote about G or faster above. BLesley won Nurs off OR62/68 4-5TO having been brought along slowly. Despite all that 6/4f by 10:15am bec of how weak this race looks. Seems very poor value. [Post Race = came up with LGG 2nd on Prfs after factoring TDuk with 4-5pts improvement. Thinking further MPR 'know' how poor a lot of Northern races are so can buy a horse at sales just on basis of can it compete in those poor races. The found a bad race here & prof small one proved enough. Esp with TDuk running poorly it only needed late OR50s, poss leak into 60s, to win. ]

Maid In Rio the 50th FTO for MaJo. Last worthwhile debut was the 35th back on June 20th (won 3TO) with the last on one before that June 16th (won STO). 14 x FTOs since have seen none placed, best rating 4 in 8-13 range, and 8 with negative ratings.

Conditions of Race = "£4,000 guaranteed For 2yo whose sire established one or more yearling sales in 2012 with a median price of not more than £16000 Weights colts and geldings 9st 5lb, fillies 9st Entries 12 pay £ 20 Penalty value 1st £2,587.60 2nd £770.00 3rd £384.80 4th £192.40". Have to think about whether worth splitting 'Maidens' into completely Open entries (still the EBF wrinkle) and ones at WFSx but Sire Median limited.
