SUMMARY

19DegC. Stiff SW Wind = Direct Headwind BS, Direct Tailwind HS.

Interesting pre-race Pics. Al Baz poor run LTO bec Swtg prelims and too free in race. Brt & SOT PRing but ok and fine AP and loaded easily. ZZ in chkpcs and slocuhing around the PRing then more lit up AP and S Fizzy. ABaz drawn inside and Ld CH on RL and got a bit lit up when joined by ZZ hustled along from Wdst draw & alos a bit too free. Pair settled to run together and ZZ look ok to Str but when ABaz made effort he looked professional and moving str. ZZ A bit HdUp and always offering to hang left and never looking likely to haul winner back.

Jk said afterwards AL Baz just a bit on his nerves and doesn't try to run away with the jk. Said he was going to let ABaz go forward here and was a bit surprised when ZZ allowed to join him upsides going free. Said he was worried for a while they both might pay and set the race up for a closer. But pair settled before end BS.

Nothing else in race able to chase the solid pace set at a comfortable distance to close anyway. Severnwind able to be 3-4L down and mount a bit of effort around the bend but stalling early in str. Hot Reply looked poorly constructed beforehand and doesn't reach at all bhd and looked a poor mvr early in race in last. A bit green but looked just plain too slow losing ground in BS. Other pair in 4-5th BS and under pressure to various degrees to not be losing further ground.
