GGF from GF on Decs. 0.7mm rain Tue-Wed night, 0.5mm Weds am. GStick 08:30am. 21DegC. Stiff SW Wind = Close to 1/2 Headwind from Left. Just the faster division but seemed a slower first 2f and a bizarre looking shot around +1f with front 5-6 all held and waiting for something to take the lead while the back 3 are all scrubbed along and still losing touch. 3 of first 4 plus Ninety Mins at 7th on rail battled in two pairs for last 2f and must have been fading late. Nakuti finally wearing down Warrendale very late on but then mugged by Bright Cecily on line. B Cecily a bit green Ov and 6.5L back at Hf, with leaders able to raise efforts still 5th-0.5f at around 3L but able to raise some effort late and with leaders fading made it look like the proverbial "storming finish". Why did BCecily get so far behind? In a stall on her own with stalls on Far Rail but spread across much of track. A slowish start and a bit away from others but JkQt and ended up with most of field going past her then she got shuffled back as they moved to far rail. But Jk doing an impression of Hughes early on to just let her drift out of the race without any encouragement to get on with it. |
