S from GF on Decs. 15mm of rain overnight to 06:45am. Showers forecast. GStick 11:00am. 17DegC. Direct Headwind HS. General Note = RDCR's evening meeting on Day abandoned in mid morning after they caught heavy rain and part of HS waterlogged. Another Day where BBC weather forecasting widespread rain across whole country for most of day. Again this turned out to be a long front of rain sitting over Eastern side of country & SE corner. Clipping RDCR regularly and touching NMKJ but rest of country mostly dry. BBC out out 'Yellow Warning' for heavy rain covering most of Eng aside from West Country. NOTT had nothing sitting just Est of 'Edge' at furthest west extent. Another reminder of how Forecasts (1-3) days might be correct in Outline but 100s of miles out in detail. |
