Rail Out by 5yds for entire race distance. Adding 10yards to Race Distance.

24DegC. Medium ENE Wind = Just Under 1/2 Tailwind from right HS, Headwind from right Downhill.

Breeze by Avocadeau looked averagely ok. Mdm Sz, ok Bld & Len. A bit wild & HdUp from -2f to -1f as jk tried to gather him. Prob did slower final 1f time because although he does lengthen & put his head down a bit in last 1f there was little visual increase in pace. More of a balanced galloper. Does finish off brz at his (one?) pace having changed lead just before end.

Lincoln some form of slow start all 3 runs and last 2 times the outcome of the slowness has been a race position which meant he couldn't win. EPSM 7f, especially with rails fully in, another course where getting a prominent position on inside often vital with a usable pace. GS here so perhaps more chance to close but tailwind in HS. Both Ellalan & MBankrupt have run on or near pace before & Signposted a candidate to run more fwd STO. Check how Lincoln's RS affects the result.

Trainer Coles unusually honest in his assessment of the filly La Grassetta in 213. Noting she has only one eye (born that way) so is a slow learner & also she is small (although couched in the usual negating the positive form rather than just saying 'small'). Says she hadn't shown anything in work but that adds the one hopeful bit (need something to keep the p'ship owners paying) about he thinks there might be 'something there'. PRev to check whether it is just the filly using only the one eye. The 'C' in Hdgr presume is 'Eye Cover' for the no eye side.

Mixed pace with nothing wanting to lead early, Signposted too slow to Resp to go Fwd & Hold rail. Free running Lincoln then pulled to front. Slow pace on ridge but incr a bit downhill to turn. Rail well Out & GS presumably had some effect on the fdrs as pace not look strong. Solid effort by swtg Lincoln in Str but, run down by a good one from Signposted. That one looked improved from FTO and had to SwcR from 4th on rail & go 3Wd to move fwd & engage Lincoln. Reaching well, bgr than Lincoln and looking in good form. Type to go well in Nurs NTO even off low OR80s.
