SUMMARY
GSS on day from GS 2 days before & GStk 06:45am. -1 overnight and up to 4DegC by racing time with snow flurries clearing. Light Northerly breeze = mainly X-wind from right.

Slow time and field finishing tired overall again as if testing conditions as MYM had won in FTO. Times from 2 x Later Class 4 hcps + a strong conditions rc won by Gp1 wnr Tangerine Trees would suggest this win could be rated 95-105+. But add in the A7 as 'for free' again with jk able to sit in ldg pr again with a senior jk and take his lead from him to ride same wait-for-3f-then-slowly-wind-eff as DONC. Rating this slow rc that high feels wrong and lifts horses like IFeeling & Scargill too high. MYM able to run a similar race to DONC and able to break the other runnr in ldg pr & then hold off a minor tracking closer again but with less comfort.

STLimit noted as if a 6f hrs by Fahey and gave away ground at start. Solid effort inside last 2F to get onto hanging MYM's tail before fading late on. Ought to be OR80+ on effort shown if assume MYM ran to similar level as DONC & STL better than Lord Clyde or Fahey from DONC.

Vine De Nada eature in syndicate VT from late Feb and shown doing the first piece of fast work by ANY MaJo 2yo that year. Trnr said he had already done stalls work & fast canters. Interviewed ater that work MaJo seemed genuinely pleasantly surprised and used the word impressive. Said in Feb that VDN would do a couple more bits of fast work with other horses that had shown well and if that went ok would be ready for a run early season & late April at latest. Would assume from that that running erl here meant he had passed those tests positively. MaJo also noted that these erl AW work in pairs was as close as he ever got to trials. Later in the season horses would just be got fit and rolled out FTO. Said that homework was to get a horse fit and NOT to find out how good they were. VDN ran better in race than result says. Broke and led on rail in ldg pr. Going ok until hdd arounf 2F out and some after after that. Still close to 2nd on RL with MYM/STL in centre track inside the last 1f and a fade in last 0.5f. BOTH MaJo debs on day ran same way in ldg pair then folding early to fin unp. WHY these two debs diff to BJubilee & Storm Moon in 2012? Lesser horses? Done less fitness work at Home?

Scargill some support but that seemed odd. Slow start and ran whole race with head to right as if hating the ground. Ok effort to plug on in last 2f. But, rating wnr 95+ lifts him to OR70+ FTO which would seem nonsense given the issues unless he is also 90+

Intense Feeling another worry about rtg level. Dec for the Mon seller before running here. Ran competently but left bhd after 2F by pc & efforts and able to plug on to claw some ground back late. Presume would have been blow away further in a fast grounf blast. Prob OR60s & not running to that here. Lilo Lil small and left behind by pace by 2F out. No Interest.

Fahey 29/3 = "Kindanyce and Skye's The Limit are among the more forward and could run at Kempton and Musselburgh this weekend. The latter is quite nice but this wouldn't be his track. If he was able to win over five there he's a decent horse."
