SUMMARY

Rain started around 25 minutes before this race. Going changed to G after 2nd Race with 2mm total rain by then. GF from GFF on Decs following unspecified Watering and 1-2mm rain on Thu. GStick = ??

Outer Track in Use - for first time this year.

14DegC. Stiff SW Wind = Close to Direct Headwind.

Race Played out as if the leding pair had hooked up and gone too hard together near the stands rail. Which meant that SOut & MSparkler both stalling before last 1f and walking home in last 0.5f. Winner able keep in 2R, but well back, and behind the ldg pair near to rail. Sandiva niggled along before halfway and looking as if lacking pace. But the only one to race close to the rail and still be going forward when the leading pair collapsed. Able to plug on home for a comfortable win. Pace prob too stiff anyway but solid headwind and rain for 30-40 mins before race prob also contributing. Other three some mix of too slow/green to keep close to pace so bustled along from early and racing inefficiently and alos all three wider of rail then 1st 3 home. 2nd & 3rd look ok types for Open Maiden STO but clearly need to race more settled.

Mod Quality Halfway Picture = HF1 But does show how far the Ldg Pair were away from niggled along Sandiva with another gap back to SRose in 4thg & other pair further adrift.
