G as on Decs. GStick 08:30am. 16DegC. Medium+ SW Wind = 1/2 Tailwind from Left. By Jupiter = latest Gallop VT from Spe 4th in damp & murky whether. Working with Valen (Gp3 entered on day but an NR) & Gender Agenda (Nurs winner off OR75). Not going as Cmf as other pair but finishes only about 1L down and hanging onto them even if working harder. Slower pace to Hf with a lot of pulling, But, pace increased before 3f out and, for example, Tea In Transvaal caught flat footed by this and Dv along and TTR. But pacemakers started to fold back coming to 2F out and Fillies going well able to come to fore ins-2f. The 'Best 4' being the first 4 home with Taghrooda & Brown Diamond making smooth Prg -3f to -2f on opposite sides of Group to go from rear ro LdgLn (of compressed Group & prob <4L front to back). Tea In Transvaal also now responded to move Fwd and Casual Smile who had been closer to pace just into LdgLn by her own pace. These four then kicked with first two home making best efforts although Casual Smile taking longer to get going and staying on well at line. Tea In Transvaal a good 'Marker' to judge efforts by. Brown Diamond a Good effort ins-2f but not seeing out the 8f and Fading back last 0.5f+. Most interesting filly behind was Fray. A good size but green and hesistant in 2R in the middle of the pack whne the pace upped. Going cmf with pace but clearly not cmf in tight pack and not knowing how to get past the slower horse in front with horses either side of her. Racing head up and if that was just lack of nous then she is capable of much better. Asteroidea & ok Sz & strong but a nutcase here and too wound up and pulling. Need to change att to achive her potential. |
