G from GGS. No rain since 19th Sept. GStick 06:30am. Inner Home Straight in use. 18DegC. Medium SSE Wind = 1/2 Tailwind from Left One of the rare races where FTOs get a weight allowance, 4lbs here. [Post Race = made a difference in the result.] Channon seems v positive about Crazee Diamond in 213 but noted she had a splint so was held back but thought she would run in May as a test for better races. Presume more injury hold ups to be out this late. Only Gallop Vid is from 14th May when she worked with tiny Seller winner Ding Ding (OR54 currently) & Christmas Wish (Well beaten 24th Sep 4TO in Nurs off OR63) which doesn't suggest she was that well thought of by then. Not a stressed work and finishes with the other two. Looking a better build than Ding Ding (not hard) but not much taller. Destiny's Kitten put up as Dascombe's 'Bargain Buy' in 213 noting she was the last lot at DSF and the only horse he liked so he hung around a long time to get her. Interesting to note Dascombe is doing the selecting according to that quote & not the agent. Another where he thought she looked a ready 2yo he expected to have running in May. Lastest work VT for Silver Mirage is from Sept 21st with her working in a pair with Hala Hala (Won Ayr mdn Aug 12th and 8f FFOS nurs off OR77 Sept 2nd & OR79 for NMKT Nurs day after this). Pair look a similar size and type. Silver Mirage greener and Hala Hala not pressed and almost like a lead horse setting a usable pace to not drop the other horse in the pair. SM finishes with HH ok at top of uphill run out. |
