GGF from GGS on Decs. GStick 06:15am. Stalls Far Side. 15DegC. Stiff to Medium ESE Wind = Close to Direct Tailwind in HS. Sandra's Diamond poss the lightest build of the 3 and poss the smallest but hard fit and very professional. Too the lead+0.5f and pushed the pace on. This had the bulkier Missouri Spirit looking short of pace or poss feeling the firm ground. But was niggled along well before Hf and just 'hanging on' to SD at 2L+ at Hf. SD Head down and ears pricked and going fwd willingly at Hf. Check whether this wound up fitness and front-running typical of the Dalgleish winners. SD unable to produce much of an Effort-2f bec of pace set but able to win Cmf bec rivals put under pressure which had them racing hard from before Hf so they too unable to raise much effort. Penny Pusuits too green to keep up and rolling around from 1st 1f & driven along from early on. |
