SUMMARY
15DegC. Light to Medium Westerly Wind = 1/2 Headwind from Right BS, Helpful Bnd, 1/2 Tailwind from Left HS.

Jayeff Herring does an anonymous breeze on his Video view. Runs straight down the Far Rail but never looking fully organised and not helped by a static, upright, jockeys using long leathers. Doesn't ask the horse to increase speed and seems happy he is managing to keep balanced on the horse. JH prob smaller mdm and IP but OkDp & balanced. SzLmtd? Latest work VT from Bell's website shows him working in a trio with unraced Ribblehead and Raven Ridge (won STO over on Oct 2nd). Finishes with Raven Ridge and pair 2L+ clear of Ribblehead. Again looking smaller, but, on the plus side a professional trier. Spencer rides.

Larsen Bay a good example of how easy it is to over-rate early season form and how having a long break from early placed form could leave you with a stiff OR. He only ran twice so has no OR but in pm was trading as Fav to jnt-fav over Nice Arty (OR70 from recent runs & rxs 1lb) and the others. His debut 2nd has proved poor form with the winner now rated OR60 and stuggling in sellers. The one OR70+ horse in the race was claimed out a seller by Fahey before it started to show that. His second run was no better and behind a 60s, and suspect att, horse like Cockney Bob. It's possible he hasn't run into the 50s even. Why would he be fav other than the Market overvaluing 'placed' form (a '2' is always worth more than a '7' for example) and rating Dascombe as a trainer (how fashiionable a trainer, plus connection, are is probably the baseline for most Market Prices in maidens. Unless he's grown 2 sizes in the interim he's a lower level seller type, isn't he?

Jk Callan rides newcomer Hadya rather than Aramadyh which seems a real recommendation given Callan has ridden the Tate 2yos most times, incl the better class ones. Aramadyh hasn't produced a positive rating in 2 runs so need PRev to know whether Hadya's '1st String' means anything worthwhile. On VRev Aramadyh looks into 60s ab and had looked unwilling. Cheekpieces STO & jk always active and getting going with the Whip while still in the BS over CD LTO.

Post Race = Went back and checked Aramadyh's two previous runs before the race on the basis that this looked such a weak race nothing could be discounted and a 'surprise' likely. On her first run you would normally have said she was a bit green and had got bhd because of that before some mild response late on. STO on this course & distance she was in cheekpieces and given a 'Bad Horse' ride from the start as if she had a suspect att, or at least, 'needed her mind making up for her'. Again made some late progress in a stop/start race. Bigger & more build than Hadya here and just on PRev she looked ok in Grp. Jk active from the start again and hustled her up to join Larsen Bay to CH and then to take lead in BS. By forcing her to set a consistent pace Aramadyh had reduced the opponents to just 1 by early in the HS. That was her smaller stablemate Hadya with Callan giving it his full bouncing up-and-down and waving the whip. Managed to overlap Aramadyh but she did resp later on to win prob SCmf and still not giving everything.

Other 4 'fell apart' in various ways to leave the Tate pair (a trainer with a big plus mark on the 2013 performance) in a 'Match'. Jayeff Herring had looked small but ok build and a natural professional on his Breeze and Work vids. The type who could run well in this sort of weak race even though trainer usually gets his rare FTO wins with usefull ones. For 6-7f of this race JH looked like he might fulfil that thought. Travelled Ok and 2nd Lane 1 arounf bend appearing to be going as well as Aramadyh and better than those behind. But Aramadyh going away from him on Entrance to HS and he then started HgR and moving awkwardly. Possibly tiring and not staying FTO but movement looking a bit more than just that.

Nice Arty a poor effort 4 days earlier after finding nothing from travelling ok to 2F out and HgR later on. Up in trip by 1.6F having not seen out 7F LTO (not 6F fully). Similar here and looking unwilling or some reason why he couldn't or wouldn't put a final effort in.

Larsen Bay in good cond after his long break but hadn't grown and overpowered by Aramadyh in BS and having to work to hold and keep with others on Bnd. Brief effort in HS before HdUp and HgL and looking knackered or worse. Paint It Red back from a long break and never able to keep up at all. Driven along off the back for the whole of the race.
