Top Bend OUT by 11yds which adds 38yds to the Race Distance. 17DegC. Light to Medium WSW Wind = Direct Tailwind 6f Pole, to intersection, 3/4 Tailwind from Right HS. Headwind into Bend. Charlton website Pre-Race = "Be Seeing You runs at Windsor in the first division of the two year old mile maiden race and he should have a good chance having missed the break in his first race at Newbury recently. " Trainer Hide interviewed after race. Said he thought Master Dancer would win at BTON STO but having scoped clean before the race the scope was dirty the next morning and the horse ill. Said he has 17 horses in training at presnet incl NH and had found his first full flat season with a licence "Torrid". MDancer owned by former trainer Sean (SPC) Woods who is currently in Hong Kong working and the horse might go there. Woods has sent Hide a number of horses and the link being that Woods is married to Hide's sister. Uneventful race mostly other than the odd twists Master Dancer tried to throw in. HgL erl and either offering to or HgL for much of the long RH Loop. Despite this allowed to keep the lead by jks on others wanting to ride for a finish. Which meant jk on MD able to use the whiplash to IncrPc-2.5f and get 1.5L lead and then best placed for the 2F sprint. Tv on bridle to-1.5f but look likely to be run down in last 1F by the bigger galloper in Be Seeing You. MDancer had a cmf time in lead so able to resp and pair pulled clear. As the Hf to FinPos suggest not a lot happened in the 'sprint' behind with a bunch of slower gallopers, strangled or not, unable to make ground nor separate from each other. |
