10DegC. Stiff+ NNW Wind = 3/4+ Headwind from Right in HS. Hughes on Magnus Maximus & Dobbs on One Picture. Magnus Maximus DIT 2f after stopping quickly over 8f on Hv LTO after an ok effort after Hf to be 3rd/4th before the bad fade. Placed on debut over 7f but that looks a moderate maiden behind the winner and looking for odd Open types behind. 2nd (OR74) & 6th (OR67) haven't competed well since. One Picture bought by the Doyles as a Foal and retained by them as a 1yo. Hannon in 213 uses "little" about him more than once while noting he hasn't been sold yet. Then does an invalid logical leap by saying Canford Cliffs was the last 2yo they sold in his year. So the final one to be sold is always your best then Richard? Hannon appears to have had to keep a share in this one. Along with the little refs in 213 he also noted he will be out early. Half the book seems to be horses whose debuts were delayed to various degrees. Faster Time for Grade but Heavy Rain before & during race. Also a Stiff pace set by Pushkin Museum running freely. Field well spread and a long straggle of outpaced, clueless, wayward & strangled ones by Hf. Hf to Finpos tell a lot of story with Pace stiff enough to ensure the 2R in S&P places through half best placed to compete for win as Pacesetters folded back. Only mixing of Forward 6 & Straggling 6 by Line because of Razin' Hell fading. Worth noting that Mr Win made 5.4 & Strategic Force 6.4 V-TLens by Line. Check whether that amounts to any promise. Mr Win presumably a trnr Wall 3yo Hcappr set-up anyway. Given a very quiet time here when in danger of bridging the gap to the faders if he had been asked to make an effort in the str. |
