This the Second race of Day. Heavy rain later caused flooding in the Weighing room and sewage mixed in it. Meeting abandoned before the 3:35pm race after a Stewards' Enquiry. Feels a bit 'Folkestone'. Miles from anywhere, nothing spent on the infrastructure in years, bits falling down & Nissen huts still in use. Amount of expenditure needed to get course back to 'Presentable, Acceptable, etc' now too high because the maintenance needed hasn't been kept up with. Next step a "What else can we do?" closure, having been run into the ground.
