- 2005 foal, 16.15hh. US bred by the Stonerside Stables and acquired by Sheikh Mohammed when he bought all the horses owned by that organisation. Dam a US Grade 3 winner who also produced Gr3 winner Gigawatt. Trained by J. Gosden. Ran four times as a juvenile for three wins. Withdrawn from his intended Newbury debut because of fractious behaviour. Made his race debut after that in a 7f maiden at Yarmouth in July as the 20/1 stable third string ridden by his regular work rider, who rarely rode in races. Won a 7f Listed event later that month and the 7f Group 3 Solario Stakes in September. Final run that year when third in the Dewhurst Stakes behind New Approach.
- Raced 8 times as a 3yo and showed steady physical improvement throughout the year. This development matching well with his performances relative to regular opponent Henrythenavigator. Placed 4th in the 2,000 Giuneas and second at Royal Ascot behind that rival beaten 4.5L and 0.75L. Ran second in the 8f Group 1 Prix Jean Prat behind Tamayuz prior to meeting Henrythenavigator again at Goodwood and being defeated by a neck. Found a soft 8f Group 2 to win at the same track then beat Henrythenavigator by 1L in the 8f Group 1 QE II Stakes. Both he and his usual rival finished their careers in the 10f Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic on a synthetic surface at Santa Anita. In peak physical condition he won by nearly 2L from HTN with US favourite Curlin in fourth.

Standing at Darley's Kildangan Stud in Ireland in 2011 at a fee of €22,500 having been there at €40,000 in 2009 and €30,000 in 2010. 13 yearlings sold in 2011, of 18 offered, at an average of 130,274gns with the Median at 130,000. Highest priced colt and filly sold for 260,000gns and 240,000gns. All 14 yearlings offered in the US were sold for an average of 98,552gns.
