Background Information
  • Willie McCreery. Starting training with his own licence in 2010 in Ireland at Rathbride which is on the edge of The Curragh racecourse. Prior to that had spent 6 years as assistant to Charles O'Brien then worked as a Stud manager and then private trainer for another Stud. Family famous in NH training. His father trained Hilly Way to win at the Cheltenham Festival. His brother has trained Irish Grand National winner Son Of War. An uncle trained Cheltenham Gold Cup victor Captain Christy and a cousin won the same race with Kicking King.
  • No British raced 2yo prior to 2012.
