SUMMARY
GSS from G on Decs after rain on Decs Day.

Stiff Southerly Wind = Close to Half Headwind from the Right.

Stalls on the Far Side of the Stands' Side Course.

Went back check Crown Command's Breeze Video. Looks a subtly different physical type than many of the 'ready types at the sale. A bit taller and range if still IP body length with ok Depth. Does a straight breeze but presumably not a 'fast' one and that seems to have a lot to do with the rider not asking for much effort from the horse and being content to get through the 2f Breeze loking competent.

Flying Hammer made a middling price at the premier Craven Breeze Sale. On his Breeze Video looks a Medium size and shorter and lengthy type of the sire. Middling Power. Uses his range and does a straight breeze down the rail but tires late on. Ok without looking a better type.

Trainer Balding in 214 wrt Royal Normandy waffles on about the owners and how they wanted a horse "active at 2yo & 3yo". The says he expected RN to be a "sprinting type 2yo... out in May". So, should have been one of his first runners and unusual now the stables seems target 7-8f type 2yo and the 5-6f ones dwindling in recent years. RN's pedigree says he should be a precocous sprinter. Why the delay and why 7f FTO?

=== Post Race ===

0.64s faster than Div I and visually that seemed to be down to a faster start with Crack Shot & Crown Command going a bit freely together having hooked up early. Div I had a closely group bunch for most of the race with the pace here meaning a break back from the first 4 from early on with Suddyan in the Gap then the stragglers and never able to get into the Race. Field racing Stands-Centre Strip.

Watching the way this Race finished you would expect the difference in Sectional times between the two Divisions to be more than the final 0.61s. The First Div played out like a slower pace with a 2F+ sprint and a relatively bunch finished with little full fading. This Division looked entirely different with a Strongish Pace (how far ahead at Halfway? 1-2 secs?). Only the first two hime finished the race off at all and put distance into the 3rd-5th home in the last 0.5f+ as the that trio faded notably from Pressing the Pace on. Suddyan staying on well but looking a typical HRE Size & Shape. Good to see Stars And Stripes building on his PRev promise and looked like an 8f+ developer here. Got into a Lo4 around 1f out with the 3rd-5th home and looking like a Stayer/Galloper and despite tiring able to use his range to stay on past those three as they faded. Suddyan had been unable to close on the from 4 from-2f+ until just into the last 1 (still 2-3L down-1f+) when the others started to fold back to him. At 2f+ out seemed to lack the pace to go with the leaders' efforts but staying on well when they faded.
