This from the Bell website wrt Penang Paparaja after his FTO = "On Friday we declared a nice two year old called PENANG PAPARAJAH. He raced towards the rear and made some headway over two furlongs out. He was soon ridden and kept on again in the final furlong. It was an encouraging run and he looks a nice horse for next season". Watch his Work Videos and he seems to go at least 'fine' with winers who are rated OR77-85 (leaving aside arguments over how valed those tester numbers are). While getting used to watching work Videos hard to match up what the Videos seems to show and the poort run by PP on debut, the text above & PP the apparent 2nd string to My Strategy here (25/1 with jk Winston when Bell's prefered Queally on MS). Feels like a Story which will only become clearer once PP's size checked in PRev & once we see what he can do when allowed to run to his full potential in handicaps. Which sounds like it will be at 3yo. 3TO his 3yo debut than target a winnable race 4TO? This test from Oct 10th after MS's STO run = "On Thursday we had declared MY STRATEGY at Brighton. He still looked very green, hanging away to his right and ending up in the middle of the track. He looks like he will be one for handicaps later on when he gets a mark.". Mixed impressions from looking at Parole's Breeze Video. Medium size but deep throughout and balanced set-up. Looks quite strong when fighting the raider as they work towards the 2f pole at KTNA and looking like he might be a tearaway. In line with a 7f debut here not a lot happens once the rider lets him go and despite being forward going he rolls along at an average pace looking balanced F to B in how he uses himself. Just a bit of body length and only average movement range. |
