SUMMARY
GSS from GS on Decs.9.5mm Sat and 3.5mm Mon am.

Field raced spread across Centre line in HS

Among Angels a little free in behind and travelling just Ok Hf. Slightly laboured win and Hughes having to use whip. Filly who won Div I carrying 11lbs less a similar performance level on the day and handling surface better. hughes interviewed afterwards said the ground "very" in response to a question of whether it was Soft. Felt AA had really just got away with winning on ground that was unsuited. Interviewer asked him a sensible open question about what level AA was, Royal Ascot, Nurseries or whatever. Hughes managed to answer that without naming any ability level. Said AA had felt a "bit weak" in the race and Royal Ascot would come too soon and wait and see how he developed. Does that mean he was thought RASCT level or just playing games with the interviewer?
