SUMMARY

S from G on Decs after 17mm overnight in two heavy cloudbursts.

The Breeze Video for You're My Cracker a bit of surprise if you are expecting a smaller neat sprinter like the sire Captain Gerrard was. Hard to judge size but video shows something like a medium one but gangling and rangy. Also a bright chestnut with a white face and some socks and a light tail. Which gives a flashy impression. But looking physically immature and a weak neck. Seems to do a terrible breeze partly because she is too mentally green and ears pricked most of the time looking forward and worrying rather than getting on with galloping. Breeze made worse because she looks slow and in possession of a set of legs at least 1 size too big for her. Which means she takes a long time to turn a stride over and hard to imagine it would change much unless she has developed especially well physically in the 2 months since the Breeze.

Stalls Centre but field led over to race on the Stands Side by Crystal Wish & Persun. Halfway positions to final suggest a stiff pace for the conditions with Tigrilla able to sit 6th around 3L off the pace travelling ok at Hf while the placed horses were 1.5L+ back of Tigrilla and already hustled along with Think Snow looking flashier (white socks and feet-wise) and rangier than You're My Cracker did in her Breeze. Looking at the positions of the first 8 at Hf to Final (last 2 already a bit adrift and driven and out of the race) and the Pace looks like it got about 1/2 to 2/3rds through pulling the race inside-out by the line.
