SUMMARY
GSG by Race Time. GGS from GSS on Decs. 1mm rain 06:00am and light rain forecast for the day.

Terrible race for the £8,086 winner's Prize Money and the 3 x fillies in the race carrying either 8-0 or 8-1 and two with Apprentices on to end up with weights they would rarely see in any other race. The winner carrying 7-8 with the A7 small enough to claim his whole allowance. Race then made even thinner by being run on softening and loose going which seemed to give the other three trouble to varying degrees.

Diamond Creek carrying the partnership's 2nd colours but these owners seem to put those on the better prospect most times anyway. DC a smaller one but handled the conditions best and racing most professionally to add to the receipt of weight from the other 3. Stayed on for a comfortable win but against low level opposition. May well be 60s and a day where with a Class 3 seller at YORK an awful lot of money went to low quality horses..

Grey Zeb forced the pace LTO and stopped quickly and got unbalanced. Jk dropped him in here and although better still showing a fast action and not settling fully. Able to produce enough of an effort to head DC in the penultimate 1f (giving 14lbs to her), But, again fading a bit quicker then typical towards 0.5f out and didn't appear to stay. Short runner at present and needs to settle better, develop a bit and faster conditions probably.

Trainer Wilson an unusually 'good' start to the season with 2 winners in weak races and another filly running ok. But they do not seem to be running to the same level and have regressed. Or the races are just better and they have stood still. Lazy Days In Loule overtried LTO and this race should have been too hot for her but turned out to be one she should have run ok in. Running a bit too freely but several hints that she didn't handle the going and hanging right at times before Hf. A bit head up in the last 2F and not picking up and the way the jk reacted he thought it was a poor attitude. Case not fully proven and ont he way she got unbalanced LDIL may just bave been wary and uncomfortable on the going. See how she goes NTO.

In curcumstantial terms it doesn't look good when the 2nd string is backed to favourite and the 1st string runs a clunker and the jk makes a WTRB which might just be a smokescreen. Alderaan a bit smaller than DC if a bit more bulk. As with LDIL the jk gave Alderaan a hard time and clearly thought she wasn't putting any effort into the race. But, also as with LDIL, if you watch the horse only you could say she was more uncomfortable and wary on the ground than LDIL. Hanging right and getting unbalanced. Still able to find a bit of effort towards the last 1F when mostly balanced but then an early fade given the earlier rolling around and hustling. But, as with LDIL it amounts to making excuses for a horse that wasn't very interesting anyway and low level ability.
