SUMMARY
G from GSG on Decs. Rail Fully in.

Goldslinger's Breeze Video shows a Smaller medium one but strongly built. Especially in Front and perhaps a bit Front Heavy. Stong Neck/Head meaning rider failing to hold him and Head Left at the start of the Breeze and rider lets him hang right to the rail and then allow full effort. Unremarkable breeze and a medium fast action with some range. Likely to run Too Free on debut and fade in last 1F?

On a first viewing that certainly looked like a serious race up front. Ivawood seemed to show something Different in the way he quickened in the last 1F. The horse dropping his front end and lengthening out very likeably.

Magical Memory back from a break and is the Hills' Stable classic 'Character' who runs ok in early season take time to win but develops well after mid-season. A very good run here givent he problems he made for himself. A slow start meaning he had to come off the rail to circle the field out wide. Hanging right towards the last 1F but still pulling himself clear of the others and not helped by a bad step on the path 1F out. Hughes, sitting quietly on the rail with Ivawood seeming to have matters under control, took the appearnce of MM rolling towards him and still going strongly as the cue to kick Ivawood off so we got to see his effort. Given the earlier running MM had to do, and the difference in ability, still a likeable effort from MM to stick on to the finish. He seems to be developing right along the usual lines for this type from the stable.

[Post Video Review] Unusual Race Shape in that it seemed to lack the usual 2F out Final Efforts. With Kinematic having set a solid pace in the lead, Hughes on Ivawwod happy to wait and wait MM having to make forward progress from well back the race just continued on to well inside the penultimate furlong like in was part of the mid-race truce.

Ivawood cost 220,000gns and presumably Zebedee's most expensive rep. The Hannon's don't buy horses for sentiment so if thet paid that much he must be a good type. In PRev a bigger one and very strongly built and well put together. Cruised through the race and a strong effort in the final 1F once he had understood the message. Won with some comfort in a faster time and going forward well at the finish. Probably showed a bit of quickening in the last 1f and something Different. Looked Group Class on this and Hannon on his website afterwards said he had entered Ivewood for the Norfolk Stakes on the morning before the race but that it might come too soon. The alternatives and future including the July Stakes and Gimcrack Stakes (6f fine on this effort). Hannon also saying that he reminded them of Toronado.

Magical Memory and early season runner for Hills' stable and they have a long history of starting 79-84 types early and they often take time to win, go to CHES in May and so on. Theses type then blossom after mid-season and often win their maiden well and then something else and the better types go 90+ (even if they are 84 types really). MM still not putting a race together and messed this one up with a poor start. But travelled through the race likeably and would have looke d agood 80+ winner clear without Ivawood.

Kinematic down to 5f after getting an easy lead over 6f STO on Soft. Medium sized on with more length than a typical sprinter and lightly made but movement a plus. Looks around a 75 type but perhaps going lower as the season goes on unless she bulks up a bit. Allowed a settled lead here and seemed to run to her level and assists confidence in assessing the quality level of the first two home.

Squata the opposite of Kinematic and not just because he is a male. Smaller, compact body length and bulky. A fast sprinter if he is anything. Niggled along throughout and part green but perhaps feeling the pace? Fallon accepting things early and just doing enough to get to a volunteer 4th then easing befoe the line (that's Mr 95%, for you). Size an issue and 70+ but how much more?

Trainer EJ-Houghton seems to get a lot of free runners who take time to settle down and show their full form. British Embassy didn't pick up FTO after running settled and possibly green. A tearway STO and running much too free again here. Another who ought to be able to compete aorund 70 but has faults that need fixing.

Lady In White on debut for Varian and his 2yos usually show a lot of their ability FTO. So, finishing a well beaten 6th at 25/1 might suggest LIW is a small one and a nursery dev project at most. She cost 32,000gns and is by Zebedee and only 188,000gns less than Ivawood. But, they clearly weren't 'pricing them by the pound'. LIW a likeable solidly built one of the sire's deep and ok build ones. Also a bit taller and rangier than some. Another who ran too free and then getting unbalanced as she stalled and eased back. On PRev looks a solid 78+ one and should be a Varian 2yo who develops well from a 'Lost Debut' by the trainer's standards. Clearly, he is just a Novice at that compared to maJo.

Trainer Ivory raely gets strong debuts abd Goldslinger his first runner of the year. Totally clueless here and unable get going and always unbalanced. Looked a lesser one in the field despite his 62,000gns price tag. Smaller medium one as per his Breeze VT and lacking the build of Ivawood, MM & LIW and probably less build than BE.
