SUMMARY
GF as on Decs at 07:00am despite 6mm of rain overnight. 5mm of watering each of Wed-, Thu & Fri.

Breeze Video of Rosie's Premiere shows a smaller medium one, with some length and neatly made and middling power. But looking a usable sprinter and the length may make her more than just a fast actioned 5f one. But, does a poor breeze. The core of the problem seeming to be she holds her head at a peculiar angle. Up in the air as if she is trying to look at something in the sky directly above her. Holding her head a bit stiff as well and not using it to nod evenly. This seems to be how she is set-up rather than being a reaction to being held by the rider. Along with that goes an action in front which is climbing and bit gallopy and not always well timed. Interesting to see how she has developed here.

Long loading process with Tribal Diamond & Khawaater loaded first and both taking time to get in then giving trouble and unsettled once in and having to be held by handlers. A moderate race on profile with Khawaater's solid run STO setting a so-so standard but nothing with a profile to be average. But, Khawaater then rearing up in the stalls with the field just fully loaded and came down with a clatter but no effort made to check her out and the gates opened within 5secs and they were away. Khawaater drawn widest and got lit up and running free. Which meant she expended a lot of energy in an extended process of forcing her way to the front. Still ran ok but fading in the last 1F and leaving the race up-for-grabs and undefended by a solid performance level requirement to win.

Sunny York a rare FTO winner for James Tate and it didn't seem to be because of better ability. When she was rolling around looking clueless in midfield around mid-race she didn't look a likely winner. Interesting to note that Hughes a rare ride for Tate here and seemed to bring his extensive experience of dealing with 2yos to bear to quietly get a grip on matters and get SY going forward enough on the rail into the last 2F to win.
