SUMMARY
GFF from GF on Decs. 5mm watering Thu & 8mm Sat.

Just an average pace with a muted 2F sprint at the the end with a lot of rolling around on the Firm going and some not able to show fully what they could do.

Sixty a surprise FTO and how good he is important as input to Jungle Cat's chance in the Coventry and how good the front of the GDWD race he ran in FT was. Sixty looking just a medium one there although strongly built. Similar here and Sixty fully professional here and able to control the race in the last 2F without being fully pressed. But, not pulling away from the 2nd-4th although all look solid future prospects with some minor caveats. Not a lot proved other than Sixty is competent now and 80+ but no real insight into his upper end ability.

He didn't zip 5L clear for little effort, but this a season with few shows of unusual 'Difference' so far and the Coventry field competitive but lacking anything that looks like a Group 1 developer at 7-8f. On Profile not a Dawn Approach/Olympic Glory Coventry but more like the 2013 edition with the O'Brien one by War Front looking less good than in 2014. The runner-up in the 2014 Coventry -Parbold - hasn't won since and placed in Listed races as a 3yo and Fahey talking about putting him into handicaps. As an indicator of what quality the Coventry field was.

For a trainer like Hannon who get more than the average amount of things right Silver Ranger must be a frustrating horse. He had clearly indicated in early season that he had the promise to be a good one and they said as much. A slightly duff debut given the hype but move on and see a different horse STO. Which we did with SR apparently moving so poorly on Heavy going the jk let him drift home thinking there was something wrong with him. Bring him back on Fast going here and travelled well for 4F but what was going on in the last 2F? SR Head up at times and running around and getting unbalanced. Anything other than out his head down and concentrate on moving straight forward like Sixty. Jk seemed to resist using the whip until 0.5f out and it did seem to have some effect on him and got back from a close 4th to jys get 2nd. SR more abilit ythan he has shown but a difficult horse to follow or support.

Dutch Connection looking a bit green but willing and a bigger type in the group and a smooth mover for the first 4f of the race. Set a task by jk Baker hauling him to the rear but made smooth progress int he Creep Zone to be placed ok for the 2F out efforts. Gave the impression that if he had ever got fully balanced and moving forward he would have been a clear 2nd and might have pressed Sixt to show a bit more of what he might have. But DC hanging right handed every time he tried to stretch fully and bumping Markaz at times. If DC can fix the hanging, prob on less firm ground, then a good one to follow.

Markaz a medium sized on and solidly built. Made and ok effort in the last 2f and ok 75+ but seemed less able than the other 3 he pulled clear with. Not helped by his 'vice' which was holding his head stiffly to the right. Unlike the others was stalling by the line.

Ghost Cat short and stocky but not looking a free mover when the pace was upped. Prob sub 75 and no particular interest.

Arc Cara just a neat medium one in this group and lacking build by comparison. Responded ok at first into the last 2F although struggling to hang onto the front 4 but then stopped quickly by 1f out. Some sort of issue. Prob change 75 one to be a lower 70s?

By the standards of trainer Saunders a perfectly acceptable debut by Pixeleen Coat off, not that fit and entirely clueless. Hanging left and getting unbalanced when she got the meesage at times she was to gallop along with the others. But, the trainer has a solid record of getting development winners with early runners and Pixeleen a very expensive one by his standards. In a bulky group of males she looked ok and some physical scope to develop with racing. Track development.
