SUMMARY

G by Race Time. GGS from GF on Decs. 15mm rain Fri-Sat overnight

CoC = "Inner of Straight dolled out 18yds at 6f and 9yds at the Winning Post."

Medium to Stiff NNE Wind = 1/4 Headwind from the Right HS & Close to 1/2 Headwind to the Intersection.

Solid pace set by Sunset Sail & Equally Fast pressing on together as a pair & 2.5L clear of 3rd at Hf. EqFast a bit bigger than SSail all round.

Stronger pace seemed to mostly sort the field by ability at the finish. Sunset Sail talked up in early season as a better early one and the two previous races he has run in would normally mean he is at least 80+ on Hannon MO. 1st String on debut but not fully handling ASCT and then a flat effort on soft STO. Given a bit faster 5f here looked 80+ and a slightly comfortable win kicking off a solid pace before 1f out. A smaller medium one so scope questions but interesting to see what level they pitch him at NTO.

2nd & 3rd home both given quiet rides as if getting too close to SSail was going to be avoided at all costs. Presumably protecting OR marks for nurseries. Latch Onto Blue back of a long break and prob smaller medium and lower 70s? or a bit more zip. This effectively just a 'second debut' to get him going again. Emef Rock some sort of 60s and 'job done' here in getting to 3rd and impoing abit but still likely to get a usable OR.

Tick The Boxes another smaller medium one and a bit green. Given an even more non-involving ride than LOB & ER. An ok debut in an 'Educ Intro' manner but sub-75 and another prob needing to protect a handicap mark.

A different and more interesting story with Equally Fast and bigger than SSail. Got lit up after driven along from a slow break and pulled to the leading pair and always running a bit too free. An early side fade but had shown some size & natural pace. An ok debut by Muir standard's and 70+ and check for 75+.

Little interest in those behind with Weardidallgowrong, Bonita Brown Eyes & Somedaysrdiamonds all some mix of small, green, poor attitude & slow. Lowest level types. Gangbuster the greenest and never able to keep up and only looking vaguely bigger than the other 3. But, the Hannon factor means not entirely dismissable because they will put him into the right race he can compete in STO & will it be above a seller?
