SUMMARY
FGF from GGF on Decs. Going Stick from 06:45am with a dry day forecast. No rain at course since April 6th.

20p/£ Rule 4 Deducation.

A thin looking race on profile unless the expensive ones from bigger stables looked better types. A race that look even thinner after Paddock Review and weaker still after the Quiet Chaos during the extended stalls loading process and then the general green wandering around after the stalls opened. Oh Dear.

Halfway positions to Final tell a typical story at this uphill track. A Stiff pace meaning the prominent runners were fading early and the better 2R and midfield ones able to move forward to fight out the finish but only the winner really still going forward at the line. A stiff pace putting pressure on the small, clueless & unbalanced ones (a big set) also meant a lot horses fading early and presenting a big group for those who got adrift early to trundle into to make themselves look 'Eyecatching' to a slapper like Luck. In reality this was a weak race and the first two home probably over 70s but barely Open Maiden class. Looking for eyecatchers behind then means looking for low level potential from the biggers ones who might develop into 50s & 60s nursery types or perhaps sellers & claimers competitive.

Ahlan Emarati an expensive one for a trainer who often batches up his better 2yos early and they often get to short SPs and win or place FTO. Which meant the Market seemed to be suggesting that this was a lesser one the trainer (who really does know what quality his 2yos are befoore they run) was getting going early because it was on the small side. The probalem is that the trainer can be Right while also being Wrong at the same time. He's right in his assessment of his own horse but he is wrong in not assessing correctly how weak this race was. Which mean a vaguely competent debut, moving through to pick up the pieces after the pacemakers folded, from a smaller and fit enough one from his yard would be enough. See if AE ever manages to compete strongly at OR75 of ends up below that.

Stinky Socks another expensive one from a bigger yard. But light framed and leggy and not that neatly made. Another perhaps just over 70 but not a certain Open Maiden converter. Mark her effort up here a bit for getting carried back before halfway but a 'peak STO' type and some careful thought about where to send her to try to get the win to avoid her becoming a placer and going into nurseries a maiden. Family history has usually sent this type 'up North' STO.

Jersey Bull perhaps a late 60s one and an early fade here given his relatively easy time in 2R on the rail. Simply Magic another expensive one and did best of the leading line through halfway but never really going the pac ethat wel and a lesser physical type than Stinky Socks. Another lesser one the Hannons will have to be careful where they send her STO - BTON?

By the 5th home you are already into the small ones who never got involved in the race and will be lucky to rate above OR50s. Chester Deal a small and compact one who ran the same here as on debut. Not responding to the jockey early and getting dropped and then plugging on past the faders in the last 1.5f. Perhaps the type to end up in the first 7f seller. A slightly different story with Clever Love because he counts as a 'bigger type' in this field. Still green here and doesn't move like a 5f horse. More of a galloper. One to see how he develops over further especially if his earl poor runs over 5-6f means he is OR54 say. Multi Quest for the same trainer ran the race entirely differently in getting across to the leading line but an early fade. Another with a bit more bulk in the group but need to see him finish a race off better. Union Rose another with a bit more bulk in the context of this small field and might compete off OR65 say. But, a badd attitude at the start here and veering around while bucking for the 1st 1f, On the plus side he did get back to the group before 2f out and make some places before fading. Track for nurseries.

Then into the small fillies who will do well to be competing off mid-OR50s by season end. Seamoor Secret a plus for the trainer in getting her to run competently and to the best but blown away here by the 'bigger' horses as soon as the 2f out efforts went. No interest. None in May One either who is another small and underpowered one who will do well to win a seller. On aside would be to wonder why a horse who has reared over backwards at the start is allowed to run?

Hard to see what the punt on Majenski was about since Osborne rarely gets FTO wins even with useful horses. Not looking 'different' physically in the group and another lower 60s nursery type. A slow start and then getting shuffled back meant the jockey settled for an 'East Intro' before 1f had been run.

As A Dream had trundled into a misleading 3rd FTO and always was a scrawny 50s type. Withe faster ground and a stiff pace here gave the impression he couldn't, or wouldn't, keep up. Got so unbalanced in the last 2f the jk tried to pull up.

Lady Bling another to look usable at a low level and typically well turned out. But another to run as she had done on debut. Clueless there and the head went up and she did not look like she wanted to be involved. Similar here and never going forawrd and her head going up and wanting to back off at the first sign of 'trouble', eg like another horse galloping alongside her. Jockey While often looks as unbalanced as the horse in these situations and a feedback loop kicks off between horse and jockey and in the end the 'oscillations' mean it is best to try to stop.
