GF from G on Decs with 4mm of watering overnight when none planned for the meeting. First two days run on official G with fast times. GStick readings given at 08:00am 8.9 for centre track having been 9.0 on Tue and 8.9 on Wed. 9.1 on Stands side and still the typical bit faster the Cent.FrSd as on the previous two days. Something not going right with the matching up here. Mutterings from various 'Time Experts' the previous day that the Going must be faster than Good. More typical 5f race at the meeting with the leaders going much too fast and Baitha Alga able to sit Midfield most comfortably and promoted to comfortable lead as the tearaways expired. Spencer ridden Mind Of Madness & Ahlan Emarati two of the last trio, well back, through halfway along with To Be Determined who had bolied over AP. Type of ASCT race which suits Spencer's natural style so gives him good stats at the course. AEmarati still 5th into the last 0.5f but able to get to volunteer 3rd as others stopping to a walk. Those included The Great War who had sat midfield with BA but never going as comfortably then making his effort earlier. Hanging left as he got to the lead and not balanced and looking sweaty a bit ill-at-ease overall. |
