GF from GFG on Decs, GStick reading from 08:30am - a full 12hrs before the race. Watering done but no details given. Field raced Centre with a slow pace. Two banks of 4 horses and all within 1.5L+ of the lead to past Halfway. Comfortable win for Muqaawel and the biggest & strongest in the field. Travelling in-hand when the others were all under pressure. Ok effort from Critical Risk to give best chase to the winner. CR more lightly made but moves ok and 75ish. Azraff a shorter more compact but deep and chunky one and different to CR. Seemed willing enough here and got trapped in 2R here off the slow pace in the last 2f. An ok effort once extricated to make ground back to the front rwo and what he showed seemed enough to put him on the Changeover Point and Open Maiden level with the right opportunity rather than being a certainty. |
