SUMMARY
GF as on Decs. 18mm of watering over the preceding 3 days. Inside HS in use.

Frank The Barber a little bit better than the rabbit you would expect fpr £9,000 at a Breeze sale. Probably a bit bigger than plain small and, in his favour, a typical Zebedee sprinter with a bit of depth. But, does the worst breeze seen so far this season. Very green throughout the breeze including bouts of pricking ears and jinking left and right. Starts in Centre track but veers over to the far rail as soon as possible and never gets into a head down gallop. Head up, jinking, hanging, etc. Rider has given up before the last 0.5f.

Steve Prescott another use by owner Koukash of a Rugby League reference having bought the Salford team in 2013. FTO winners in 2013 for Fahey included two such named with Salford Red Devil & Brian Noble (sacked as the Salford coach in early 2014 with Koukash showing his my-way-or-the-highway side recognisable from his dealings with some trainers). Steve Prescott died in November 2013, aged 39, having had a successful playing career. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer with a prognosis of having a short time to live (he had a rare condition so difficult for the consultants to give estimates). Prescott worked raising funds for Charity after his diagnosis and was awarded the MBE in 2009 for that work. As with 'Frankel' & Abdulla/Cecil, the circumstantials say that Koukash & Fahey are not going to name one after Steve Prescott, as a tribute, unless they knew it was solidly 75+.

SP on the left still looking poised into the last 0.5f. Mumford in the the Red/White quarter Cap finally hauling himself into 2nd past the smaller filly BF (White). SDL with the noseband rolling around as he fades.

Interesting race and seemed to have too strong a pace with some going too freely and that doing for then and the stiff pace putting others under pressure in various ways so they folded. Which led to another race on this course (like YORK) with long distances and more than half the field getting nowhere near finishing the race off.

Steve Prescott clearly developed well from the DBS breeze sales where he did a hesitant breeze looking green and a bit 'young' overall. As an side you would suggest that Breezes would probably be better done on Artificial surfaces because chewed up[ loose turf can make young horses look bad.

A different horse here and looking more mature mentally and physically. No 'oil painting' but it all seems to work together well. Taller and rangy in front and tails off behind (somewhat unmatched) but the movement is fluent and well timed and good nodding when not held. Also looking mentally mature and listening to the jk. Able to attens the pace and produce a solid kick off it. Lacks some 'quality' to be 90+ but clearly 85+ Conds to Listed type. A bigger 'Northgate Lad'?

A moderate run by Mumford despite the second place. Shorter than SP but more strongly built. But, the concerns over whether he can move his bulk efficiently at present from debut still valid here. Got to 2R after an awkward start but not stretching out and head to the right and offering to hang left before halfway. Also niggled along as if finding the pace stiff and putting his suspect movement under pressure. Jk actively driving along by Hf and when asking for a real last 2f effort Mumford 'let go' and really hung left. Eventually got balanced in the last 0.5f+ to haul himself through to 2nd but hard to think he will be running over a fast 5f again. Has the bulk to be 79+ but cannot put a mobile race together on current evidence.

Belle Fille a smaller and neat one amongst the colts and looking like she needs to win soon given her precocity is close to wearing off as an advanatge by this time in the season. But, produced a solid kick in the last 2F once getting wide of the forest of left hanger. That kick against fillies might make her flirt with 75 but may be receding from her, WFA-wise

Soie D'Leau running too free gain and looking awkwardly made and lacking build against the better ones here. Some sort of lower 60s perhaps that needs an Auction race or the Nurseies that will start soon.

Poolstock with the same owner but moved from Burke's to O'Meara since the AYR debut. Why the fall-out? Poolstock too free again and running eyeballs out in the lead. An okish effort given that until an early fade. Looking a medium neat one but less bulky than SP & Mumford. Lower to mid 70s perhaps if he can settle down.

Frank The Barber grown up mentally since his breeze but looking small and compact int his group, if solidly built. The lack of range seems to lead to a very fast action, especially chasing the pace here, which seems likely to always cause the early fade. Very hard to keep that cadence going for any period. On the plus side he did keep up with the others while his legs could still blur along. Blue Eyed Boy small in group and much too green to keep up in this sort of high paced race. Early fade and no obvious promise.
