SUMMARY

On his breeze Sharp Sailor looks a medium and (mostly) neat type of his sire. A bit more length than typical. Perhaps a bit front heavy and tails away behind. Moves like a reacher & galloper in his breeze.

Field raced Far Side. Slow pace for first 1f with Diaz leading away from rail but held. Royal Rubles racing the rail and looking big in the group. But, sweaty AP and fighting his jk too hard and pulled to the lead+2f and never really settled. RR matched the effort by Diaz 2F out but unbalanced around 1F out and stalling then fading in the last 2f. Royal Rubles remains a strong prospect but need to look more relaxed in PRev.

Sharp Sailor looking a smaller medium and neat one in the group & ok length. A bit sweaty overall and green for a lot of the race. Slow Start then running a bit free once back into the group with a slower pace. Not really knowing what to do when pulled out wide into the last 3f to make his effort. Not a lot happening but a sustained low level plugging on to get to a remote 5th with the bigger lads going well away in front. Lower middling promise all round. Race a bit over-rated probably given the slower pace. [Update 6th Aug = Mixed story with Subsequent runs. Digital Rebellion, Father Stone & Andretti all run poorly to lower ratings NTO. Faithful Creek has won an OK maiden then well beaten in a 7f Gp2. Diaz 2nd in a Novice race & 4th in a Listed event since and has ecorded a higher rating. Red Rubles & Azmaam both ran disappointingly NTO. RR running too freely behind in Faithful Creek's maiden win & WTRB saying RR didn't handle EPSM. Azmaam looking unwilling STO and never getting intot he race as favourite. Too bad to be true.[
