GF as on Decs. Watering but no detals given. Breeze Video for Edgar Balathazar seems to show a smaller medium one and not that neatly made. Weaker in front. Gets unbalanced and stumbling a little in the breeze but that seems to be the loose ground. Most notable point from the breeze is the exaggerated knee action he has and doesn't look a fast action nor pace type because of that. 15p/£ Rule 4 Deduction. Weak race on profile & termed an 'Auction' but to WFS conds. 5 x Apps in the race incl 3 x notably inexperienced A7s. Real bottom level stuff and more a middling Seller feel. Even with the Low [Est] given quite possible the race is over-rated so use with caution. Average to slower pace and Mrs Biggs getting every good break possible to win. A small one but with ok build and very professional FTO when not seeing out an uphill 6f. Got a very easy time here in the lead and on the rail. Which meant a narrow win but maybe not even low 60s? MrsB getting no hassle at the start to get to the lead with those drawn around her slowly away. The two placed horses came from the widest two stalls and they were very wide with 2 sets of stalls in use and that pair in the second set on their own after two blank area where the stalls lock together. She then got a soft time in the lead and only had to hold off the two wide drawn ones who were running wide of the rail. Just in case there was any vague chance of a Closer of some sort the horses in 5-7th at Hf in a line across from the rail out all some mix of not picking up, hanging and early fading to prevent a barrier to stop those 8th+ making any clear progress. Which left a race between 4 horses from early on. Obviously not a race to be delving into for future prospects and any later wins from the field most likely to be in similar weak Northern races with, actually or effectively, the 'same bunch/type' of horses roped off in a race to themselves. Academic interest in the 'Easterby' horses. Atreus wide draw & free here and looking like 5f better and up to winning a seller or low-mid-50s? Secret House again sweaty and veering left but showing something to make progress to Hf then the jk seemed to pull him up inside the last 2f but no reason given. See whether Octo-Mick has any plan for him. Tim's Upward Trend supported here, whatever that actually amounts to in a weak race, but made his own the found a lot of trouble and worth discounting this run. |
