Slower Pace and race developing into a 2F Sprint at the finish. Limato ridden with great confidence by Doyle who preumably knew he was riding somthing with a Different Kick to the others. Sitting still with Limato in the front line in the penultimate 1F while the others did their best wither side of him. Jk able to get to the lead just by letting Limato go a bit faster but jk stil mostly inactive, Asked for a kick 0.5f out and got some response that looks a much like 'quickening' as seen so far this season. Not a powerhouse and seems to do a lot on efficient and athletic movement. Interesting to link to this summary of the Race by Rowlands for Timeform where he considers it just in terms of Sectional Times. Basic Questions from that piece include is he saying Natural Order & Bronze Maquette are OR90s types with their sectional time ratings? More interesting for the longer term would be an article that expands on his point about "'conventional' analysis of margins between horses and overall race times is quite likely to miss them." Particularly in explaining how a simpler method than Sectional Times can identify most of what they do at the 'Eyecatcher' level. Plus, can say more about other things such as Track Biases and be done on any track regardless of Camera position. How that Method is more Visually Intuitive and helps build up an understanding how how Races should Flow & Fold. Making it easier to know when horses are doing something unusually Good or Bad. You don't need Sectonal Times to know Limato is doing something 'Different'. They can help to quantify it and also help if the Visual impression is bogus to some extent. Again another area where the Timeform development is 'One Track Mind' and not opened out to ineract with other Info/Data available to give a more integrated view of Races/Horses.. Natural Order seeming to do fine in the race but Flat Out well before imato was let go and staying on wel. But not a 90s horse on looks, Bronze Maquette smaller than NO and a lesser effort overall and fading late. Given the Easy Lead hard to know why Assault On Rome faded so early. 1F effort all she could manage? Lightning Stride had the excuse of pulling too hard for a long period but doesn't come across as a fast 6f horse around a bend. More interesting up to 7f on slower turf. And finally, Junior Ben. Come on Dennis, take the therapy, there's no shame in admitting limitations and looking for help. The shame is carrying on blindly with the nonsense. |
