SUMMARY
GF as on Decs. 2mm of Rain overnight and showers forecast for the day.

Quotes from Hannon Website day before the race = "The circus rolls on to Doncaster and Newmarket tomorrow, and, with Richard Hughes (suspended) and Pat Dobbs not available, it gives us the chance to give the kids (Cameron Hardie and Kieren O'Neill) a bigger slice of the action. Hannon said: 'I am always stressing what a team operation this is, so it is good to be able to give the lads a chance, especially as they work so hard in the mornings on the gallops. The boys will be heading off to Newmarket, but we have Frankie (Dettori) and Jimmy (Fortune) going to Doncaster in the afternoon......we start off a couple of two-year-olds in the maiden. Black Cherry is a big filly who moves well and we have given her time to grow into her frame, while On High, an filly, has also grown a fair bit, so it will be good to get them rolling.. ".

Disprove looking close to medium size and perhaps a bit leggy in the Breeze Video. Hard to judge with the camera angle. Looks to have little range though and a short action and average speed at most.

East Coast Lady lengthier than a typical Kodiac although looks solid build on her Breeze Video. Smaller size probably. Moves straight and seems to have some range and not a pure speed one.

Breeze Video for Royal Rettie seems to show the narrower and lengthy type of the sire and lighter behind. Hard to judge size but smaller medium? Green in the breeze and gets time to get balanced and kicking up a lot of soil earlier on but seems to go ok when that stops. Fastish action and just about timed ok. Looks better than 17k's worth.

Muraqaaba coming with a reputation and living up to it. Assissted by a soft time in the lead but pulling clear ok and comfortable at the finish. One of three x 2yo winners on the day fro MaJo and all three getting Easy Leads. Clearly this is selective to mention it now and avoid/miss it when he has 3 x front runners beaten. But as a general point worth noting that horse getting 'loose on the lead' definitely do have a real advantage and if the MaJo runenrs can lead going within themselves and competent then that approach is often a real positive. Worth noting the other two winners still needed the race to 'fall apart' around them to some level to win whereas Muraqaaba mature and bossing this race.

Despite the slower pace the final 2F+ efforts seem to separate the majority of the filies out by ability with perhaps the odd wrinkle. Probably not much real 75+ behind the winner and needs careful selection of the more likely Open Maiden converters.
