GF as on Decs. 3mm rain Fri into Sat. Mixed Breeze Video for Giantouch. Looks ok in close up in the gather stage when trying to run freer and head hown as rider holds him. Looking collected and balanced and ok strong. Looking just a medium and neat one in the Breeze, strong front but a bit light behind & just ok length. Goes too free in 1st 1f and stalling and fading while hanging right during the 2nd. Look a bit smaller & neat in this field? Run too free again or assisted by a slow pace? Stalls Stands Side & Field raced off the rail with an Average pace set by Framley Garth. Spots of rain at this time but before the torrential storm that came later Zephuros low slung but bulky & strong looking, Competent enouh and moves ok. Stalling back last having made a better move around 2f out than . LT a less strong one and presume some sort of 70s. Solid 75 in PRev? Holland Park talked up as a bigger and better one with Moore riding & Dobbs on LT. HP looking biiger than average size an a strongly built 'block'. Seemed to do a number of smaller things wrong which added up to fading in the last 0.5f having made a similar effort to the winner 2F out and challenging Zephuros for the lead inside the last 2f with LT 2-3L back from having been alongsise him to 2f out. HP sweating AP and looking a bit frazzled mentally during the race. Running in 2R but prob a bit too free. Also holding his head up and stiff for a lot of the race and not looking a natural loose mover. Reaching out enough in front? Hanging towards the last 1F and finding the final hill climb too much. Looks the part as solid 80+ in PEv but needs to grow up a bit mentally & would like to see a freer movement. Trainer Fanshawe's record with 2yos has dwindled away in the last 6 or so seasons from being well above average. Strong and ready debuts a feature. Fewer runner soverall recent seasons and only odd winners and two blank years in the last 6. Ready Debuts still a trademark and his only 4 wins since the start of 2010 were all on debut. Landwade Lad his 3rd debut in 8 days to start his 2yo string. On previous MO if any of then were solid 75+ they should show it FTO. Two previous debuts moderate to poor and 7th/8th. LLad looking a medium to smaller medium and neat one with some length. Running free in the first half og the race then looking green, dropping last, and head right and hanging.in the final 2f. Seemed to do enough in responding in the last 1f+ to suggest he is 75. Trainer's record still a niggle. Follow his upcoming debuts. If he has one good enough to win FTO they are usually at an SP to cover the losers in the season, at least. Austin Friars smaller neater & leass strong than Zephuros & Ist colours but jk Lane on with Buick on Zephuros. Buick would appear to be Appleby's 'Go To' jk when available. AF ending up running in Centre Track and hanging but looking sub-75 and lesser run not just greenness plus a bit of light Track Bias. Giantouch ending up over in Centre Track with AF and a bit more bulf but similar 'smaller' one in this group. |
