GFF as on Decs in the am with CoC saying the Watering Equipment broke down the previous evening. Desperately "..hoping to get 3mm on last 5 furlongs." before racing commences. Stiff to Medium SSW Wind = 3/4+ Headwind from the Right. Baileys Pursuit a solid size in the context of this group and fully fit and prepared. Down in trip and running professional race. A slightly comfortable win and looked an improved effort. Ho Yam Lay a similar size but looking less prepared and fit. Took time to pick up in the last 2f as if feeling the gound. Claimed by trainer Littmoden which wouldn't be an upgrade. Howlin' For You running on GFF after the trainer made a WTRB report saying HFY unsuited to GF. As with BP fully prepared and fit for the race but less well built & weaker front. Ran too freely in Headgear and lost ead to BP well before 5f run. Tagtale a smaller one in the field and probably dropped because of the going but overmatched in this more Southern Seller. May One tiny and looking small in this field. Ran to freely and stumbled notably around halfway. Moving awkwardly in the last 2f & an early fade. Looks a 100% trier and condemned to be always overpowered. Channon has won some appalling races with ponies but MOne will test him. |
