SUMMARY

Rail Fully In.

Stiff to Strong SSW Wind = 1/2 Headwind from the Left.

Beacon around the smallest in the field and a niggling feeling that the 4L win not that strong a performance. How much down to the race falling apart around him and Beacon just having to run competently and produce just a solid effort as late as 1F out to go clear of tired ones? Inclined to see this as a highpoint rather showing anything different.

Mukhmal running much too strongly for more than half the race and eventually settled when into the last 2f on the rail. When headed by Beacon 1f out asked for another effort and nothing there & presumably tired. Rolling around & unbalanced in the last 0.5f looking in a little distress.

Snap Shot the typical fast start from jk Kingsscote and over to he rail but then decided to try to hold SShot up and the horse starting to fight that. Which increased when Mukhmal came alongside with horse & jk in exactly the same fight. Which went on to past halfway. As with Mukhmal, SShot in 2R on rail in penultimate 1f & jk hoping there might still be an effort there. But nothing happened 1f out and an early fade. So, two strong Profile runners in the race killing there own chances off.

Flat performance from Union Rose even given a bit of free running and racing wide of the rail. Already getting outpaced when unbalanced 2f out asked for an effort. An early fade. Seems likely his 100/1 second at RASCT down to a draw/pace bias anyway and a 76+ handicapper finishing in the 'wrong' position at the finish with abilities mixed up.
