GF from F on Decs. Watering but no Details. Vertidrained since the last Meeting. CoC quote = "Home turn bend out 2 m adding approx. 6 yds for races 7f and further". Average Pace at most and the Halfway to Final static positions tell of a race where little happened. A 2f+ test in the HS and those behind the leading pair never getting competitive patly because of the pace as well as some hanging and not handling the quick ground. Disavow prob not a real OR76 but able to win here by getting a soft time in front and having to hold off a small one running for a new trainer having been claimed out of a seller. Which she did ok but is going to be more over-rated NTO and MaJo will have to work to find a weaker Nursery Set-up. Trainer Fife has claimed a Channon seller runner before and got some ok runs from that horse but never won with it. On the other hand Channon has lost some ok types in sellers over the years. Wink Oliver small but seems neatly made, Has no Knee Action and went ok on the going. But, unable to overhaul Disavow receiving 19lbs plus an A3 jk and form no better than his seller run. Ingleby Spring set the task of clawing back ground on the leading pair and hanging left too much to pick up properly and only making a little ground late on as the leaders stalled. OR64 seems a bit too high in an Averagely competitive maiden and too much in a moderate one like this when set a task. Multiplier on a ludicrous OR76 for a win in a weak NEWC race and looking less than willing doing it in a slow time. Not sure where the Racing Post guy got that. Surely even Tester will have him lower. ANother some mix of lacking willing and ability to handle the going to pick up and an early fade. OR61 for Gamesters Lad might be ok in a leasser Nursery with a little bit of development. But, appearing to not hande the bend or the going here and the jk busy fom early on. GLad never appearing to fade and just plugging on hesitantly throughout the HS. FT on quick going and, along with others on the day looking uncomfortable on it, inclined to think he would look better back on less quick going. |
