SUMMARY
GGF from GF on Decs but no rain since 2mm on Tue & No Watering noted.

Slow Pace & Slower Time despite a useful part tailwind. But, nothing really finishing the race off well despite that and an Underdone and Tomorrow field in PRev with only Lady Moscou looking an ok size & ready for the day. Spiit Of Zeb small but in the best condition and most fit. Add that to a mostly settled run in the Leading Line and a 5lbs extra off for the App Jk and she set too tough a target for all except Lady M. But SoZeb a Size Limited low 60s one and her 2nd highlights the difficiencies & issues elsewhere.

Without looking outstanding Lady Moscou ended up as the only one on the 'Possibles' list after PRev. Only one fit enough and a decent size. Taller one and untypical for her sire but looks athletic. A bit narrow bodied and looking like she might bulk up in her frame. Fit enough on the day in an underdone field. One of many a bit Free before Halfway to the Slower Pace but going ok to 2F out and a comfortable win looked likely. But hanging left persistently in the last 2f and limited her forward effort enough so she took until late on to overhaul the nippy and ready SoZeb. LM mid 70s and needs to fix the hanging. Check whether she ever starts to fill that frame and the OR go up.

A Median Auction rather than an Open Maiden and that qualification hurdle producing a field here where the various deficienceies from being strong 80+ types were visible. The Hannons on top of things as ever and with 'enough' 2yos to chose from to suit any niche. Sires' Median Auction race? Wheel out what was probably the most expensive 1yo by Monsieur Bond sold in 2013 with Al Bandarand the most expensive in the field. Biggest in the group and looking a Typical Hannon 2yo with a Deep front and in this case some length. A bit low slung. Ought to be 75+ on Bulk without being a definite full Open Maiden one. But, not fit for the day and looking too relaxed and sleepy. Hannon usually truns out relaxed horses FTO but AB looking like he isn't going to be knowing enough to get involved. A slow start but able to get into the group comfortably given the pace. Took time to get going in the last 2f and looking laboured and hanging left. Big enough to get to a Volunteer 3rd past the smaller faders without getting into the race to win. A worry the way he moved and needs to tighten up for STO, look more businesslike and see him pick up better to get to 75.

Scalet Bounty a stablemate of SoZ and presumably has looked better in homework given the SPs? But, Fahey has shown in various ways over the years he doesn't have a tight handle on his 2yos ORs and prob just a relative ranking at home. SB not bulked up since FTO and looking a bit sweaty and underdone overall. Coat & Fitness well behind that of SoZ. SB also running much too freely before Halfway. Just a low level effort into the last 2f and Head to the right and hanging left. An early fade in line with the condition and in-race issues. Low to mid-60s but needs to present looking better NTO.

Outback Ruller another dissapointing one in an underdone field where possibles kept on getting scratched off the list to leave LM alone on it looking 'Average'. ORuler made his debut at ASCT and that usually means a good one for trainer Cox although they usually show more FTO. Had to judge him on STO in a messy Auction race on softened going. Smaller than expected in PRev here and perhaps late 60s and leak 70s id he develops well. But, not fit off a longish break from STO and a down and lethargic demeanour. Off the list. Ran a bit too free in the race but that no excuse for the early & tame fade which was in line with his presentation. Was this just a quiet 3TO run to get him qualified for Nurseries? Check whether he looks tighter, shinier & more lively 4TO.

Alongside being wary of horse unseen named 'Little Boy' and the like because they are almost certainly SMALL, then also worth being wary of horses called 'Hooligan' and the like becuase they will be awkward, at best, and perhaps close to unmanageable. Horses called something like 'Little Horror' should have two crosses next to them in PRev befoe they ever appear FTO. Right Madam therefore getting an alarm going unseen. Saddled in the Stables and brought over to the Parade Ring (a 1/4 mile walk) very late and on her own. Hence the pictures all from the Start. But, she lives up to her name at the start and she is prancing about, throwing her head and flicking her tail all the time. As the pictures show. She lloks beyond being 'Hard Work'. Mostly settled in the race but an early fade. Which should mean she is put into the Garbage bin, And yet, as the picture also shows she is better than being a Rabbit. Leggy & a bit compact (perfer a bit more length) but moves ok when prancing. Should be usable 60s if she were more tractable. One to bear in mind and look for signs of settling down and growing up.

Grand Spirit the first 2yo runner of the season for Cumani & at a typical time. Wins for 2yos rare before Wugust except with better class ones. The earliest runners can usually be split into two types - firstly higher class ones who are prcocious enough to get going like Postponed in 2013. The other early debuts will be '2yo types' but below Open Maiden level who will be shrewdly brough along for Nurseries. GSpirit the second type so no surprise to see him adding to the underdoneness on display. A smaller to Smaller medium one and netaly made but lacking the scope and frame to change much. Still very 'Up' behind and that loking a limitation at present and 'ugly' behind. Looking Mentally Young. Another running a bit free then hanging left and an early fade. Usable 60s and presumably will be brought along for Nurseries.

Epic Find a low slung one but bulky. Not fit enough here and another who is very obviously being trained through her runs to go into nurseries when presumably she will look fitter and more lively. Has the bulk to be 70+ but hasn't shown the movement or nous to show that yet. Early fade here in like with being unfit.

River Of Dreams a bit taller than the Sprint types Ryan often has and a bit more length. But, absolutely typical overall shape and look. Looking very Raw here physically (just a frame and lacking muscle and strength in places) mentally - too fizzy and unfocussed. Poor response in the last 2f+ and soon dropped by the field. Could be late 60s but clearly needs to develop a lot. By a stout sire out of an OR60s 6f winning dam. On shape and set-up likely to be 7f+ when more developed.
