SUMMARY

GGF as on Decs. No rain since 2mm Tue but no Watering note. Stalls Stands' Side

Charlton snippet pre-race about Delusional = "...Like most of my two year olds he is not fully tuned up and there is plenty of stamina in his pedigree, suggesting seven furlongs will suit in the future.".

Typical ASCT race in the sense that the field falls apart in the last 2f and only the first 3 home finishing the race off. Like a number of the relaid tracks it looks like only some horses handle the surface and many do not (like SWEL). A slow pace here and the 2R climbing over the Leading Trio of Soldier Sam, Chevallier & Mutaffarej from the Stands' Rail out. The 3R of the slow starting green pair of Delusional & Emirates Airline going fine as well. But the leading 3 hang away from the rail soon after Halfway and by 2f out a wide spread ragged line with SSam alredy folding back but the other 2 of the leading trio still in the lead with 3 of the 2R at Halfway finding various ways through to make their effort. These three go away and the race collapses behind despite the slow pace.
