SUMMARY
S from GS on Decs with 55mm of rain since April 19th incl 15mm overnight.

Weak race on Profile and even weaker in actuality. Doomah no bigger than MLOY, if a bit deeper F, and no better jk bothering to attend with Levey riding. 'Al Shaqab' another arm of the Qatari influx into British racing but separate from Sheikn Fahad (Sheikh Joann?). Red Perdita a bit wound up in prelims and a similar type.

Which left Mylaporyours to outlast Doomah in the final 1f in a slow time and a poor performance level. Cringemaking, whilst also being toe-curling, interview by the buffoon Harvey after the race with all the connections, jk then trainer then Simon Dutfield (Mr Axminster Carpets) with Nerys giving him the slip. Until it got to Mr Dutfield the interview really should have had sub-titles since what was actually being said was an 'insider code' which specifically didn't address the actual quality of the race nor MLOY. How can anyone new to racing get the right viewpoint when coded drivel like that is served up by the professionals? Jk Probert felt able to vouchsafe MLOY was a 'nice filly' who had 'done it nicely'. Which was nice. Probert also look bemused when asked by the Buffoon whether MLOY had handled the ground. Probert clearly hadn't thought about that until then which answers the question without needing any woirds.

Trainer Millman, a down-to-earth guy but unable to step outside the coded confines, said he thought MLOY needed 6f already and he had only started running her because she was strong for her small size and the ground was Soft. Everyone side-stepped the issue of hopw good she actually is. How about the interviewer asking Rod Millman what level he thought she would be competitive at in nurseries in later season? James Millman will presumably put that into some context on Twitter.

Only real interest going forward is what Fujiano is? Part bonkers on jock-up and got rid of the jockey twice in the parade ring and then dodging around avoiding capture for a while. Eventually mounted in the pre-parade ring, still fizzy, and went TP last alone. Blew the start and adrift at halfway.Still comfortably last-1.5f but managed to make progress to a staying on 4th (chal 3rd line) and not that far behind the first two who had run a shorter distance near the rail. How much of that progress was the field fading badly back to her, and how much some ability with her making ground past horses not yet 'dead'? Perhaps to be the highest rated of the field at season close?

Plus point for trainer Williamson in having Featsdontfailmenow competent and ready enough to attend the pace on Debut.
