SUMMARY
GF by Race Time after a warm day. GFG from GGF on Decs. Rails Fully in.

Midtech Star an untypical Kodiac in his Breeze Video. Lengthy and less deep than the fast type. Perhaps smaller medium and front heavy. Seems to lack a bit of range and still has a faster action so the parts do not really fit together to make a particular type. Some bits look usable but overall effect a bit baffling.

Senor Firecracker prob a bit on the small side in his Breeze Video and a lengthy & plain one of his sire. But not 6k small. A bit green in his Breeze but a slower action and prob a slow time. Goes along at his one one-pace. Perhaps in the wrong sale with Breeze buyers often expecting to see 'now' 2yo performances? Note = NR for a 6f Maiden at NMKJ on June 20th because of a Travel problem.

Some Post VRev & pre VP thoughts = Understandable result for the most part and the Shape of the race back to being typical for the 7-8f races here. Getting prominent and a usable pace makes it very difficult to ovetake on the uphill with similar horse involved.

Taper Tantrum wide drawn but ridden but Ryan moore who took control of the situation and the race and the other jks mostly allowed him to do it to them. As an aside Moore riding here presumably the sort of situation trainer Bell was thinking about when he dropped Turner as stable jk in 2013 and said he wanted to use the best available. Turner on the small and overpowered Mistral here.

Too a bit of time to get across from wide but TT eventually fully in the lead by HF and sowed the pace. Moore allowed a small bit of CZ action 3F out but then slammed that door shut 2.5f out by upping the pace and the field of jks behind visibly change quickly to driven and pushing. OK effort by TT to put 2L into the others in the last 1.5f but barely 75 probably.

Clever Love the wrong price at 66/1 for a couple of reasons. Firstly because any horse then can stay 7f and gets a soft time in 2R on the rail here cannot be more than single figures to hang onto a place in this sort of field. Secondly because he looks about the biggest in the field. He has been running over 5f before and looking out-of-place and moving like a stayer. Watching him grind on up the hill here at his pace and never stopping meant he now looking in place. Later 60s? Plain Slow?

Red Rebel a smaller one (lower to mid 60s?) running just ok given the advantage of a prominent halfway position.

Lear's Rock also a smaller looking one but seeming to be more promising given he was a bit green and the only one to make ground and places in the HS. Good trainer has a good record of converting these Auction Types. Berkshire Beauty a bit bigger than RR & LR but a similar plugging on and not gaining not losing much.

Hitchcott and unfashionable jk even with Channon. But, he seems like a poor mans Carson and a small, ball of a man perched on horses but always active and giving it everything. Playboy Bay looking awkward and unhelpful at BVLY LTO on the uphill climb and even worse here. Rolling around, hanging right, stumbling every time Hitchcott tried to switch him out wide for a clear run, Head up, all four legs going in different directions at times, etc. Hitchcott never gives up at all and still trying to get PBay to comply until very late on. If Spencer, Dettori or Fallon had been on they probably would have eased 1.5f out and refused to go near PB again. Whatever, a horse with a bit more ability than he shows but you wouldn't trust him to go past a rabbit in a finish at present.

Two Hannon runners in a weak race at 33/1 and 50/1? How does that happen? Both ran Lost Debuts. Can they both be that bad though? Seems a different story with each. Quae Supra a smaller one wearing an XNB but for what reason? Looks to have a bad attitude and the jk ready to get busy at the first sign of QS slacking. Incl using the whip before they had reached the bend. Driving along worked briefly in the HS but QS appeared to pack it in before 2f out.

Emperors Warrior looks a different strory and a rachorse may be salvageable. On the plus side he is bigger than QS and looks an ok mover. But a slow learner and a bit clueless and cumbersome at present. Which would be ok if it was the only visible issue. Wait until he wises up and he has the size to be usable somewhere. But, when asked to make an effort into the last 3F the head went up and he started losing ground and he never responded. Hard to decide whether it was attitude (unlikely given how clueless he seemed), a physical issue or whether he is just very slow. Clearly with the Hannon preparation worth being aware he might become usable in a Nursery.
