SUMMARY

GFG from GF on Decs. 2.8mm Rain Overnight. Stalls Centre.

Hannon Webite on the 17th = "It was disappointing that Newbury were not allowed to split either of the maidens on the card, so we are forced to run three in each. Marshall Jennings is one we have always liked, and he made a smashing debut at Sandown when beaten only by our other horse, Tupi. He will have learned from that and he handled the fast ground well enough first time out, so, hopefully, he will be player in the seven furlong maiden, in which we also run two newcomers, Acaster Malbis and Lethal Legacy, both are big colts and who move well, so it will be good to get them rolling.".

Slower Pace to Start off with Nafaqa in the Lead but not looking to stretch things. Hughes on Marshal Jennings then took the initiative after 1.5f to go to th elead on the Stands-Cent strip and up the Pace a bit. This had the effect of stringing the field out into 2s & 3s and MJ then going to the Stands' Rail taking the field with him. Dobbs on Lethal Legacy also alive to the advantage of making 'easier' ground with the Pace slower & following behind MJ with Buick on The Twisler 3R in this stack. Jks seen hauling their horses back at this point need to have a think.

Given the Shape of the race the horses in the first 6 home who made Places and/or ground after halfway need marking up. Dissolution a real Eyecatcher in that model and given way too much ground to recover and then looking green inside 3f out and taking time to get going. Despite all that closing nearly onto the back of the Leading 4 home but for being eased. A bit Different.
