SUMMARY
GGF at 07:00am after 6.8mm Rain Overnight. More Rain Forecast. GF on Decs & GFG for Meeting on Fri.

Stalls Centre.

Stealing Thunder what you would expect for a 'Makfi'. Just ok as Physical type in the gather. Smaller medium but neat and ok build. Looks better in motion and straight and looked quite fluent and balanced. One exception seems to be he changes his lead more than usual and abnormally visible when he does (incl twice in 3 or 4 strides late on).

Very odd Race Shape for just 4 runners and caused by Dettori doing his thing where he takes his horse away from the others if they are running two freely. This leaf tthe 4 runners as 4 Corners-of-a-Square looked at from above with Stec leading Time Test by 3L+ around Centre Track and Lwah leading Stealing Thunder by 3L+ towards the Far Side. The two lines started to drift together and Dettori, oddly, allowing Stec to go 2-3 clear of Lwah as they came together before asking for some effort. Moderate response from Lwah which left Stec to plug on to the lead off a usable pace chased by TT with that pair finishing nearly across to the Far Rail.

Stealing Thunder held back by 2L early to sit 2-3L off Lwah on the Far Side. Nggled along by halway and jk escalating to driving and then the whip by 2f out. ST perhaps not handling the ground but losing ground and ending up 4th a bit adrift towards the last 1f. Able to make a mild response to get past the eased Lwah (Dettori knocking off early as usual), but crabbing a bit even doing that. Hard to judge on this effort since he never seemed to get going.
