GF from GFG on Decs. Watering but no details given. Good race between the two sons of sire Henrythenavigator (HTN) which lasted most of the length of the HS. Moonlightnavigator (MN, cost £230,000 as a 2yo) a bit taller than Henrytheaeroplane (HTA, cost 40,000gns or £42,000 as a 2yo) although both neatly made. MN a bit greener but a straighter mover and always finding enough in reserve to hold HTA with a bit to spare, assisted by a little extra size and better range in front.80+ and can rate higher. A positive for Flaming Spear who looked at least one level bigger & better than MN at YORK. HTA trying hard but hanging right a bit in the duel and not looking fully comfortable on the going. Duel carrying pair clear of the other two and solid 75+ form from HTA and could do better if moved better in the final 2f. Other two in the field straight from 'Central Casting' to represent their trainers. Bizzario looking a good size for 15,000gns on his stable picture and bigger than HTA here. But, typical MaJo FTO in being a bit clueless and cumbersome and tongue lolling out to complete the all-happening-too-quick run. But, Bizzario willing as well a solid size and working hard in the HS but lacking the pace and nous of the first two. Might need 8f+ but up against an untypical pair for a Northern maiden here so might be ok 7f against small ones. 70+ and probably 75 at his right distance. Another example of MaJo buying horses with Group winners close up in the Pedigree and ignoring the 'presentation' at the sale (which canot have been good for 15k price). Little Houidini failing the too-much-info-in-the-name Test and the smallest in the field. Fit enough FTO and lean (trainer typical) but overmatched against the other 3. Jk allowing them to go away from him 3F out and just had his own private 'race' in the last 2t, once adrift, to see what LH could do and not risk his Nursery mark. Trainer has managed 6 individual winners from 14 runners in 2014 so far, with others placed at best, and a good Winners-Runners record in his 3 previous years. So, LH of no real interest but hard to say trainer Dalgleish wont find a low quality race in the North which he could compete to win. |
