SUMMARY
Medium+ NNE Wind = 3/4 Headwind from the Right in the HS.

Moderate stuff in a Median Auction limited Novice. Race run at a slow pace and turning into a 2f+ sprint around a bend and in the HS. Hard to make ground in the race set-up.

Jargon has an OR82 which is too high for his size and type and a good choice by the trainer to try this type of race to get another win. Problem with it that his OR is either going up abit or will take longer to come down. Made tremendously hard work of getting 1.5L back on the small leader in the HS having donated 1L+ to him by not responding smartly 2F out and on the bend. Eventual wore down the big rabbit on the line. Looking like you would expect a race between a low-mid 60s one and a low-mid 70s one to look as a 1.5L 2f Handicap.

Thecornishassassin small and underpowered but balanced set-up and a trier. Got the advantage of a soft time on the rail in a slower time than his win here against weaker opponents. Faced with a 70+ in Jargon he got run down late. No Interest. Some interest in listening to Dale Gibson in the ATR Studio dancing around using the word 'Small' about Thecornishassassin. Having talked over a picture of Jargon for a while he had to talk over a picture of the obviously much smaller Thecornishassassin. Used the phrase "more of a 2yo" to avoid 'small. Then later said he though Thecornishassassin was more "finely made" than jargon. Rather than saying he's thin going on scrawny and god knows how he is going to compete off the OR he is going to get.

A very nervous young Assistant Trainer intereviewed about Gild Master's chance and kept using variations of the word 'Smart' in context of the horse and the horses he had worked wit, plus the work form he had shown. Midway size between TCA & Jargon and fit and ready on the day. Looking low to mid 60s at best, and prob worse for trainer King, a small sort who is unlikely to be much use hurdling later 3yo on. (Yes, we know, - Katchit - worst Champion Hurdle in years, though).

Poor effort from Golden Wedding looking ponderous and slow on the bend and in the HS and showing a slower KA. Form of his debut looks over-rated by some way and that race certainly 'not working out'. Also a niggle now over the ratings for his STO race where he ran prominently on GF. Looked better on that more galloping track at SALS but looking so slow in the HS here raises a niggle over that form. Although the first two home are 80+. GW a similar frame to Jargon and perhaps a bit bulkier. But lacking a bit of length and the movement not as 'clean'.

Cosmic Ray another sub-70 one and green here and did about what you would expect in the HS given he was in last and giving the others a head start.
