SUMMARY

GSS by race time. Soft in the am from GGF on Decs.

Presumably a humid evening and all the horses looking damp & sweaty. Hatchet Harry & Tecumseh both wearing breatgirths so latering up and much more visible. Field stayed Stands Side but rail well out anyway.

Hatchget Harry a bit free overall but trying hard and handling the going ok. Which was all that was needed with the other 3 all having problems.

Henley ridden by Hughes. Horse never going forward fully and looking hesistant throughout, including a slow start. Niggled along for the first half of the race then driven along by halfway. Moderate response and Hughes resorted to the whip inside the last 1.5f as if he felt the horse wasn't putting it all in. Henley just hung away from the whip and by the time Hughes had switched the whip through he felt Henley stopping and put it away. How much not handling the going and how much attitude issue?

Tecumseh runing too freely for the first 2f then seemed to settle once headed. Travelling ok 2F out compared to theose around so jk let him carry on. Not much left when jk asked for a final effort but an improvement on the STO final effort. But, still no professional and check VP for whether 70+.

Majenski a small filly in the field and back off a two month break. Had been a much too free runner in her earlier runs. Presumably needs to get some 'Form' in the book to be able to run in a nursery. On the plus side she did settle here. But, with the fieriness gone she was losing grounf at halfway and fading very early.
