SUMMARY
SGS from S on Decs. Last rain 6mm on Weds.

Stalls Stands Side.

Fahey in his SL piece pre-race = "We’re double handed in the Maiden Stakes. Frosty Times is a homebred of Mr Cotton’s and could be a horse for nurseries later in the year. He’s ready to run and we’ll see what happens. I’d like to say Flying Machine is well named but he could probably be more of a six furlong horse. He’s another that’s ready to go and it does them no harm to have a race. I’ve no idea of the quality of this field but if it was an ordinary race he’d have a chance."

Puzzling race with solid time for conditions but race looking like a 2F+ Sprint at the finish off an Average pace at most. Line of 5 horses around 1F out competing for lead and Big Chill might have been amongst them but for taking a bit longer to get going and then getting crossed by FM. Travelled at least as well as LOB to 2F out and jk quiet after the issues. Union Rose confirming that his debut effort in making some late ground had some merit but probably able to compete here with a number of better quality horses through getting a soft lead and being more professional in picking up in the last 2f. Race left the impression that the other 5 in the first 6 might all be OR75+ but needs a bit more thought.
