GS by 12:15pm with 13mm Rain to that time.. G from GFG by 06:30am. Large area of very heavy rain moving SE to NE across the whole Country during the Day (remains of Hurricane Bertha). Stalls Far Side & Field raced Centre with an Average Pace, at most. Wonder Of Qatar well placed at Halfway given the race Pace but not looking fully willing in the last 2f. Having top be niggled a long briefly after halfway then driven before 2F out and the real late efforts starting. A bit Head Up and Hesitant/Thinking until the line. Jk got busy with the Whip by 1.5f out and continued with the Hard Ride (for a suspect attitude horse) until the finish. Loking like WoQ gave a bit of extra response eventually in the last 1f to chase the winner. WoQ looking a taller & slightly narrow type ([Aug23 = Drops back to 6f 3TO]. Mutasayyid, the other Hannon runner, effectively never put into the race (NPIR) and held up off a usable pace and not hard ridden in the last 2f. Still making places and ground of looking a bit green. |
